Catherine O'Connor

(rèsumè & firm philosophy)

Catherine O’Connor is owner and founding principal of Co’Design LLC, a WBE/HUB certified landscape architecture firm.  As our name suggests, our spirit is collaborative–we look for partners who share our passion as we know great projects emerge when talented design professionals and clients share ideas and leverage each others’ strengths. Our passion is designing artful, beautiful, healthful, safe and enriching spaces–places that are grounded in site, context, history, ecology and sustainable practice.

Regarding sustainability, we are intently mindful that our work must not only be measured by aesthetic standards but must proactively address a profound challenge of our time — a world of shrinking resources and changing climate. With each project, we are committed to contributing positively to the health of our man-made and natural surroundings.

Lastly and importantly, we find joy in our work– we take pride in creating places that we hope enrich people’s lives.
